Application Open, 2020 State Capital Outlay Funding for Nonprofits

Bernalillo County is accepting applications until July 29 at 5 p.m. by nonprofit agencies seeking 2020 capital-outlay funding from the state. Interested nonprofits must complete the Capital Outlay Initial Request Form to be considered. Applications are due to the Office of the County Manager by July 29 at 5 p.m.

The Board of Commissioners tonight approved an ordinance to ban single-use plastic bags and Styrofoam (polystyrene) containers in the unincorporated areas of Bernalillo County, outside the city limits of Albuquerque.

Massive Behavioral Health Training and Education Efforts Launched by Bernalillo County

Sadly, New Mexico has some of the highest rates of mental illness and substance abuse in the nation- highlighting the need for a continuum of behavioral health care. In 2015 Bernalillo County created the Behavioral Health Initiative to build that system of care, to date, the BHI has created 19 programs.
