BernCo Board Honors Chuck Griffith


Bernalillo County would like to congratulate Chuck Griffith, and thank him for his continued achievements and pursuit of excellent service to the employees of Bernalillo County.

Mr. Griffith has served the State & Local Government Benefits Association as its president and treasurer, has earned lifetime certification as a benefits administrator and has been an active, positive force for promoting the association and mentoring new members.

A well-run benefits program is the staple of an effective workplace, providing mandated, yet crucial, and voluntary assistance to employees and their families through insurance, leave time, educational assistance and much more.

Since 1982, the State & Local Government Benefits Association has provided educational and collaborative support nationwide to administrators of employee benefits in the public sector, including with its Certified Government Benefits Administrator program.

The association also awards the SALGBA/Linn Baker Lifetime Achievement Award to a member who, for at least ten years, has attended multiple national conferences, made exemplary contributions to the association and is pursuing the benefits administrator certification.

During the national association conference in May 2017, Chuck Griffith, who has been with Bernalillo County Human Resources since 2000 and a member of the association since 2002, was awarded the SALGBA/Linn Baker Lifetime Achievement Award.
