Bernalillo County Treasurer’s Office Reminds Property Owners Taxes are Due Jan. 21, 2020


Bernalillo County Treasurer, Nancy Bearce reminds property owners the due date for the first half of the tax bill is Jan. 19, 2020, but because the due date falls on a weekend and the following business day is a holiday, the final due date will be Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020.

Bernalillo County taxpayers have several options when making payments. For more information about the Bernalillo County Treasurer’s Office and the different payment options, please visit www.bernco.gov/treasurer.

The second half of property taxes continue as before starting April 10 with May 10 as the final due date.

“We accept payments online, at drop boxes, through the mail, or by simply coming into the Treasurer’s Office located in the basement of One Civic Plaza NW.,” says Treasurer Nancy Bearce. “My top priorities have been better customer service, transparency and more payment options for Bernalillo County taxpayers.”

Additionally, three financial institutions are also accepting property tax payments from now through Jan. 21, 2020, including:

  • First Financial Credit Union
  • Rio Grande Credit Union
  • US Eagle Federal Credit Union

Payments can also be dropped off at the following drop box sites: Westside, Paradise Hills, and Raymond G. Sanchez community centers; the Village of Tijeras offices; and at the Albuquerque/Bernalillo County Government Center at the corner of Fifth Street and Marquette Avenue NW.
