Western Albuquerque Land Holdings LLC is proposing changes to the Westland Master Plan which was adopted by Bernalillo County and the City of Albuquerque in 2000 to guide future land use within the plan area.

The request seeks approval of amendments to the Westland Master Plan including a change to the plan area boundary, text changes, and changes to the land use plan, the transportation plan, and design guidelines.  The request also seeks approval to add the Westland Sector Development Plan within the Master Plan, in order to prescribe specific zoning for properties within the plan area.  The Westland Master Plan is for property generally located north of I-40, west of the Petroglyph National Monument, and on the east and west sides of Atrisco Vista Blvd., and contains approximately 5,279 acres within unincorporated Bernalillo County.

The revisions and additions to the Westland Master Plan are scheduled to be considered by the County Planning Commission on May 4, 2016.
