Join us in your neighborhood on April 25 from 10 a.m. to noon for The Great American Cleanup, the country’s largest community improvement program that kicks off in more than 20,000 communities each Spring. 
In Albuquerque, your neighborhood can register to #cleanYOURblock.
To help you clean up your neighborhood and Keep Albuquerque Beautiful, the City of Albuquerque Solid Waste Management Department will:
•	Provide free trash bags and gloves to your cleanup.
•	Collect your neighborhood waste from the cleanup at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 24.
Registration deadline is Friday, April 16, at 5  p.m. Download the registration form and e-mail it to milaromero@cabq.gov.

In this workshop, we will use the ABQ Backyard Refuge Program (ABQ BRP) workbook and learn a myriad of ways the Bachechi Open Space might better support local plants and wildlife. Meet with the ABQ BRP team who will feature Bachechi Open Space as an example to demonstrate the first step in becoming a certified habitat – and in turn, be able to certify your own garden as a backyard refuge.

This incredible two-hour workshop includes training about thunderstorms, flash floods, downburst winds, tornadoes, and more. This event is part of the volunteer SKYWARN weather spotters and volunteers training for the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network (CoCoRaHS).
