May 19-25 Acknowledged as Public Works Week

05/14/2019

At its May 14 administrative meeting the Bernalillo County Board of Commissioners and County Manager Julie Morgas Baca acknowledged the week of May 19-25, 2019, as National Public Works Week and proudly saluted and thanked our public works professionals for their quiet dedication and indispensable influence on our daily lives.

This year’s national theme, “It Starts Here,” represents the many facets of modern civilization that grow out of the efforts put forth by our public works professionals.

What starts here?

Infrastructure starts with public works...

Growth and innovation starts with public works...

Mobility starts with public works...

Security starts with public works...

Healthy communities start with public works...

The bottom line is that citizens' quality of life starts with public works, and here in Bernalillo County, ‘It Starts’ with the everyday efforts of the 239 men and women of our Public Works Division.

We all sincerely thank our own public works professionals for their steadfast dedication and celebrate their vital contributions to our daily way of life.
