Bernalillo County is an effective steward of county resources and a critical partner in improving the quality of life in our community.

We believe in government accountability and work daily to be good stewards of taxpayer dollars.With a workforce of nearly 2500, Bernalillo County believes it is important to give back to community.

Since 2010, Bernalillo County has awarded more than $288,000 in Neighborhood Outreach Grants by funding community oriented programs like community gardens, oral histories, mentorships, and more.

Bernalillo County has participated in the United Way of Central New Mexico’s Corporate Campaign for more than thirty years. In 2014, Bernalillo County employees raised and donated $132,363. 

With an understanding of the importance of blood donation and the positive difference it can make in a community, Bernalillo County employees participate in numerous blood drives to benefit the United Blood Service. In 2014, 745 units of blood were donated.

  • Tweens and teens ages 11-17 are invited to spend their Friday nights with us at Los Vecinos Community Center! Enjoy video games, open gym, cooking, field trips and more! This is a free program, but field trips will require an extra fee. Call (505) 314-0240 for more information.
