BernCo Employees Help to Make the Season a Little Brighter for Disadvantaged Students

12/12/2017

Thanks to the generosity of many Bernalillo County employees, 408 disadvantaged Albuquerque Public Schools kids will be receiving gifts this holiday season.

The children come from various ABC Community School affiliate schools in each commission district of the county. The ABC Community School Partnership is a coalition of local government, business and nonprofit leaders dedicated to helping students graduate ready for college, career and life.

The gifts will be delivered on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at the following locations and times:

  • 10 a.m. Navajo Elementary-2936 Hughes Road SW Albuquerque, NM, 87105
  • 11:45 a.m. Adobe Acres Elementary-1724 Camino Del Valle SW Albuquerque, NM, 87105
  • 1. p.m. Los Ranchos Elementary-7609 Fourth Street NW, Albuquerque, NM, 87107
  • 2 p.m. Inez Science and Technology Elementary-1700 Pennsylvania Street NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110

“Once again, county employees have been extremely generous in giving to those less fortunate in our community,” says Bernalillo County Manager Julie Morgas Baca. “Every year, more children are in need and as public servants, we always want to be able to make their holidays a little brighter for those we serve.”
