On August 27, 2017 at about 7:30 am deputies responded to a residence in the area of 2nd Street and Clark Road in reference to a domestic violence call. The suspect, 40-year-old Frank Seth, attacked his father with a rock causing severe injuries. Deputies were able to remove the victim who was transported to a local hospital. The suspect barricaded himself inside the residence and refused to exit. Field units set a perimeter around the residence and the suspect began making contact with deputies through a window. Frank stated he was armed with a firearm and threatened to kill deputies or force them to kill him.
The Bernalillo County Sheriff Office SWAT and Crisis Negotiation Team responded to the scene. After about three hours of attempted negotiations, Frank exited the residence and was taken into custody. The suspect was medically evaluated on scene by rescue and had no major injuries.
Frank will be charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon on a Household Member. Detectives are still on scene and no further information is available for release at this time.
