UPDATE:

The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office is still up and running. Every unit has adjusted in some way in order to protect the citizens and our employees from COVID-19 exposure. Some of our employees are able to work from home, others are limiting their work hours, and everyone is washing their hands extensively. Please visit this site or follow our many social media platforms for changes or updates.

 

 

COURTHOUSES

The Second Judicial District Court House and the Juvenile Justice Center have reduced their operations in an attempt to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Additional precautions have also been implemented for all visitors and employees of each courthouse. Prior to entering each facility, you will be presented with a list of questions. If you answer yes to any of these questions, you will not be allowed to enter the courthouse. If you are denied entry, you will be provided with a list of phone numbers of who you can contact to help you. Below is a list of the questions you will be presented with.

1. In the past fourteen days, have you developed symptoms such as a cough, fever, or shortness of breath?

2. Have you been diagnosed with COVID-19 or in close contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19?

3. In the past fourteen days, have you travelled to an area defined as a high risk area by the New Mexico Department of Health?

 

CIVIL PROCESS & RECORDS
TEMPORARY HOURS: M-F 10AM – 2PM

Our Civil Unit is still open for business on a limited basis. Anyone needing to file paperwork for civil processing can come to our offices at 400 Roma N.W. between the hours of 10am-2pm, Monday thru Friday. Because the building is closed to the public, you will need to call 505-468-7140 when you arrive.

If you need a copy of a report, please email he report number to Bcsorecords@bernco.gov and we will e-mail you a copy of the report. If you need additional help with a report please call 505-468-7140 between our temporarily limited hours of 10am-2pm M-F.
