New Bernalillo County Commissioner Sworn-in


New Bernalillo County Commissioner, James (Jim) M. Collie was sworn-in to fill the District 3 seat.

Commissioner Collie serves as a member of the Bernalillo County Planning Commission and is a retired pastor and administrator in the Presbyterian Church. Collie is a 26-year resident of Albuquerque. Prior to coming to New Mexico, Collie was the pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Bedford, Texas.

“I look forward to working closely with this commission to further the important work of my predecessor and to improve the public services offered to the great residents of Bernalillo County,” says Commissioner James Collie.

Commissioner Collie was appointed to the Bernalillo County Commission by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham to fill the seat vacated by Maggie Hart Stebbins, who is now the state natural resources trustee. There is one year remaining on the current term in District 3.
