Governor Appoints New Bernalillo County Commissioner


Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has appointed James M. Collie as the new commissioner in District 3.

Collie currently serves as a member of the Bernalillo County Planning Commission and is a retired pastor and administrator in the Presbyterian Church. Collie is a 20-year resident of Albuquerque. Prior to coming to New Mexico, Mr. Collie was the pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Bedford, Texas.

Collie replaces Maggie Hart Stebbins who resigned her seat effective Jan. 1, 2020. Hart Stebbins accepted a position in state government.

An official swearing-in ceremony for James Collie is set for:

Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020 – 11 a.m.
