Join us Sunday, April 29, for the 2018 South Valley Pride Day!

The entire community is welcome to the 2018 South Valley Pride Day on Sunday, April 29, from 11 a.m to 6 p.m., featuring great live music, local food and performances from South Valley schools and youth groups.

11 a.m.: Parade begins at the corner of Blake Road and Isleta Blvd. SW., and ends at Westside Community Center. (If you wish to participate in the parade, please fill out this form and return it by Friday, April 20.) 

Noon – 6 p.m.: South Valley Pride Day, Westside Community Center, 1250 Isleta Blvd. SW.

Enjoy a car show sponsored by the Rio Grande High School Alumni Association, the outstanding citizens celebration, live music, food and more.

Outstanding Citizen Award

Through the years, there have been many adult and youth citizens in District 2 who have contributed greatly towards enhancing the quality of life in our community. The Outstanding Citizen Award was created in order to recognize exceptional District 2 citizens for their civic services and various voluntary contributions to our community. This award strives to showcase these incredible District 2 residents for their dedication to hard work and their many positive attributes.

Nominations for the South Valley Pride Day 2018 Outstanding Citizen Awards will be accepted from Monday, March 5 through Thursday, March 29.

A nomination form, together with a one- or two-page biography describing the deserving nominee must be submitted to the Los Padillas Community Center, 2117 Los Padillas Rd. SW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87105, or via email to mjgarcia@bernco.gov.
