    Reduction of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)

    Bernalillo County is supporting at risk children and their families across the full continuum of services including primary prevention, identification, early intervention, support and treatment, harm reduction, outreach, and services in children’s homes and within the community.

    (The funding pays for services and family supports not currently reimbursed by Medicaid or third party payers.)

    Building Resiliency and Addressing Adverse Childhood Experiences

     

    ALL FAITHS

    All Faiths currently provides the following services through a trauma-informed lens: forensic interviews for children who have witnessed a crime or are victims of crime; outpatient therapy; comprehensive community support services; high fidelity wraparound care coordination services; case management and parenting therapy.

    Children ages 0-18 and their families.

    CENTRO SAVILA

    Centro Savila started in 2011 and is located in the south valley of Albuquerque. Centro Savila currently provides the following services: outpatient psychotherapy; case management; Medicaid enrollment and HIE; and, partner with Casa de Salud to provide psychotherapy (individual and group). They utilize bilingual staff who are working to address cultural and linguistic needs and access to care.

    A NEW DAY YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES

    New Day works with youth who are difficult to engage through life skills coaching and community collaboration with probation, protective services, and schools. New Day currently provides the following services: shelter placement, Transitional Living Program, Peer Drop in Center, Juvenile Justice Diversion and a Life Skills Academy for Youth (ages 16-24).

    PB&J FAMILY SERVICES

    Using a family centered approach, PB&J provides a 16 to 28 week parenting program using a “nurturing parents” curriculum with home visits, case management and early intervention. Social workers and counselors work toward addressing multiple needs such as stress, mental illness and addiction with a comprehensive approach.

    UNM ADOBE AVERTING DISPARITIES IN OUTCOME BY BUILDING ENGAGEMENT

    ADOBE provides home-based and school-based navigation services, utilizing a primary care model for youth ages 11-18 and their families who have had two more admission in Youth Service Center (YSC) within the last 12 months. ADOBE’s school liaison works with the schools to coordinate with the family and school personnel to assist students with reaching educational objectives.

    UNM YOUNG CHILDREN’S HEALTH CENTER

    The Young Children’s Health Center is a community based pediatric health center based in ABQ SE Heights. Using an integrated primary and behavioral health care model, they provide a full array of services including access to community and behavioral health intervention services.
